Jimmey Keen Summer Yurt

Jimmey Keen Summer Yurt is a backcountry yurt in the Talking Mountain Yurts system, set on a high desert mesa in Castle Valley with access tied to the Whole Enchilada Trail area. It’s a summer-only yurt and sleeps up to 8 people, with two bunks (top and bottom) and two large cots with sleeping pads; no bedding is supplied. A kitchen area is provided with cooking equipment plus a wood-burning stove, and there’s a small library with games.

Reservations are required, and the yurt comes with a cart to haul gear from your car. Access is via a specific drive from Moab to the Jimmy Keen Parking area, followed by a short walk from the parking area around scrub oak to the yurt.
