Yurt 2
Yurt 2 is one of the Moenkopi Yurts at Dead Horse Point State Park near Moab, Utah. It’s a reserved, electricity-equipped yurt that sleeps up to 6 people, with a queen-size bed, a bunk (queen on bottom/full on top), and a futon, plus heating and air conditioning.
Book it through the park’s ReserveAmerica system (reservations open on a four-month rolling basis). Nightly pricing is listed as $150 plus taxes, with discounted rates at certain off-peak periods; check-in is 3:00 PM and checkout is 12:00 PM. A yurt stay includes a single vehicle, while additional vehicles are charged an extra $20 per night. Guests must bring their own bedding and cookware; electricity, a mini-fridge, a microwave, and an outdoor propane grill are available. Pets are allowed in designated pet-friendly yurts (up to two pets, for an additional fee). Cooking is not allowed inside the yurt.
At the state-park level, there are no showers, and there are no EV charging stations for yurt occupants; extension cords aren’t allowed. Fires are permitted in established fire pits, and wood can’t be gathered from the environment. Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and dogs are allowed on hiking trails but not on mountain bike trails.
