La Sitelle

La Sitelle is a backcountry day-use refuge in the Camp Mercier trail network. It’s positioned as a heated warming/rest stop along the cross-country ski and snowshoe route system, so it’s meant for breaks more than overnight stays; for overnight accommodation at Camp Mercier, you’d book a cabin or yurt instead of using the day-use refuge huts.

Use is included with your daily cross-country ski or snowshoe pass; booking for La Sitelle itself happens through the same official reservation system used for Camp Mercier activities. The hut sits within the Réserve faunique des Laurentides area managed by Camp Mercier.

If your plan is to spend the night, treat La Sitelle as a daytime stop and plan your overnight stay via Camp Mercier’s cabins or yurts; bring what you need for a cold-weather outing even when stopping at a heated refuge.
