Lloyds Hut

Lloyds Hut is a privately owned bush retreat in Victoria’s High Country that stays open to the public without bookings, reservations, or site fees. It’s a first-come, first-served stop for travelers passing through the Mount Useful area.

Access is typically via 4WD tracks, and when the hut is occupied you’re expected to camp nearby instead of waiting for a turn inside. The hut setup includes a drop toilet plus a wood-fired hot-water shower (“donkey” shower), and there’s also space to connect a generator.
