Lower Matakuhia Hut

Lower Matakuhia Hut is a backcountry hut operated by New Zealand’s Department of Conservation, set in the Waipunga Forest area. The hut includes a fireplace, sleeping gear (mattresses), and toilets with pit-latrine disposal; there is no drinking water supplied.
