Maison forestière de Mariailles

Maison forestière de Mariailles is an unmanaged ONF backcountry hut near the Canigó area in the Pyrenees, with two separate buildings and a total capacity for about 14 people. The layout includes a larger section with a fireplace plus a sleeping area with camp beds, and a smaller section also with a fireplace and a dedicated sleeping area.

Use is self-service: you don’t book this hut directly and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. For a guaranteed bed (and managed refuge services), the nearby Refuge de Mariailles is the place to reserve.

Access by car is typically blocked at Col de Jou by ONF, so expect a hike of roughly 1.5 to 2 hours from the closed track parking area to reach the hut.
