Orri de Prat Barrat
Orri de Prat Barrat is a non-staffed stone shelter (orri) in the Pyrenees, used as an open-access emergency bivouac. It’s a circular stone structure with a fireplace, wooden benches, and a sleeping platform; plans are for 3 people, and there are no mattresses or blankets provided.
Access is first-come, first-served with no reservations. During summer grazing (estive), you may be asked to vacate if the shepherd needs the shelter. Because it sits within Réserve naturelle de Py, outdoor camping and fires outside the shelter’s fireplace are prohibited; treat water from the nearby source/torrents before drinking.
