Rainery (Mint) Hut

Rainery (Mint) Hut—also called Rainery Hut—is a private backcountry hut operated by the Mountaineering Club of Alaska. Built in 1971, it sleeps 8 and is closed to all users July 1–15 and August 8–12 for club training and repairs. Use is restricted to club members, and the hut provides a stove (bring your own white gas/“liquid fuel” for the stove). Water comes from a small creek north of the hut, and there is an outhouse north of the hut (the barrel collection outhouse requires special handling: burn toilet paper and don’t urinate in it).
