Refuge-abri de Vera

Refuge-abri de Vera is a rustic, unguarded backcountry shelter for up to 10 people, with sleeping places on mattresses. The shelter has modest insulation and basic kitchen setup: some cooking utensils and two gas cooktop burners plus gas lighting; meals are generally handled from outside, under the awning where there’s a small “refectory” area.

The refuge is at an elevation of about 560 m and does not have a fireplace. Plan to be self-sufficient for cooking and overnight needs (bring your own sleeping system), and be prepared to manage your group around the limited, simple facilities.
