Refuge Bazinet

Refuge Bazinet is an backcountry hut in Quebec, used on the National Trail in the Parc régional de la Forêt Ouareau. It’s a small refuge designed for hikers to stage overnight stays and to provide a warming stop for other travelers during daylight hours.

The refuge includes access to a dry toilet, a wood stove with firewood, a table with chairs, and 8 mattresses. It can be used as a warming station between 9:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., with firewood use limited so the wood supply isn’t depleted; the park may charge for excessive wood used. Dogs are allowed.

Access is by foot only, about 300 m from the reception at Pourvoirie Domaine Bazinet. Use requires a reservation, managed through the park’s reservation system.
