Refuge d'Arlet
Refuge d'Arlet is a backcountry mountain refuge at 1,986 m in the upper Aspe valley, used as a stop on the Haute Route Pyrénéenne. It sits on the shores of Lac d'Arlet and offers dormitory accommodation plus meals and drinks for hikers passing through.
Seasonal operation is guarded roughly from early June through late September (open 6 June 2026 to 20 September 2026). Reservations are essential during the guarded period, and the refuge requires you to bring your own sleeping bag (duvet/liner). Payment is cash only. It does not provide showers.
Capacity is about 45 people. There is also a small off-season winter section with 6 beds (unmanaged), accessible outside the guarded summer dates.
