Refuge de Garnier

Refuge de Garnier is a backcountry hut / mountain lodge near Saint-Bonnet-le-Courreau on the Route de Garnier (5661). It’s run by Auberge de Garnier (phone +33 7 88 66 21 07), and the lodge posts seasonal opening information for 2025 and 2026.

The refuge/lodge has capacity for 15 people. For the 2026 season, it opens the first weekend of April and is open Wednesday–Sunday at midday plus Saturday evenings (outside July/August). In July/August it’s open daily at midday, and from Thursday–Sunday in the evenings (mid- to late-season schedule as posted). Reservations are handled by contacting the phone number above.
