Refuge de la Coire

Refuge de la Coire is a guided backcountry hut near Granier (Aime-la-Plagne), used as a base for summer and winter excursions. It sits at about 2060 m and is staffed in season; contact the wardens by phone for the dates you plan to go.

In summer, the hut works on a reservation system with half-board bookings made via its online form. The winter schedule runs daily from 1 Oct 2025 to 12 Jun 2026, and summer runs daily from 13 Jun to 20 Sep 2026. For summer reservations, the form collects a €20 deposit per person per night; if you want to stay without half-board, use the separate “nuitée sèche” request form.

Sleeping capacity is small: summer is 18 places at Refuge de la Coire (with the Cormet chalet handling additional beds), while winter is 14 places. Groups should plan on reserving early; stays are limited to a maximum of 2 nights for management reasons. Bivouacking/camping nearby is allowed, but you must reserve in advance if you want access to refuge services like dinner and breakfast.
