Refuge de la Leisse
Refuge de la Leisse is a staffed backcountry base in the Vanoise, set up for overnight stays on mountain trips. The refuge is normally open from 14 June to 11 September (summer season) and works in different modes outside the main staffing period; for the inter-season it can be open in free management rather than fully staffed. Sleeping arrangements include 32 places, with bedding provided (including duvets/blankets), and the refuge has a wood stove and other basic cooking/hut infrastructure such as gas, dry toilets, and kitchen items for preparing meals.
