Refuge de l'Alemany

Refuge de l'Alemany is a small non-gardened mountain shelter on the GR 10 in the Mantet area. It’s open for walk-in use with no bookings, and you sleep on shared base areas (bat-flancs) with room for about 8 people (around 10 in shared sleeping spaces).

Inside you’ll find mattresses and blankets plus a table and benches, and there is a cheminée (a heat source) but no fireplace. The water point is a captured spring slightly uphill, with water reachable at the entrance of the refuge (it can be dry at times, so treat water when you stop).

Use is free; it runs on first-come, first-served access. The refuge is within the Réserve Naturelle de Mantet, so you’re expected to follow strict pack-in/pack-out practices for waste and trash.

Sleeping and basic cooking/prep are self-supported: bring your sleeping system/duvet and plan on carrying what you need, since it’s not a staffed refuge.
