Refuge de Notre-Dame de Lure
Refuge de Notre-Dame de Lure is a small, unguarded backcountry hut in the Montagne de Lure area, used by hikers on long-distance routes crossing the GR Tour de Lure and GR®6. It’s a basic shelter with sleeping space for up to 12 people and a fireplace/wood stove is not provided—plan around the hut’s basic setup rather than expecting modern comforts.
Inside, use is centered on the chimney and on recovering firewood nearby; there’s also a reference to a water source right next to Notre-Dame de Lure, plus bunks/camping-style sleeping on the second level. For overnight stays, the key is not kept on-site—pick-up is arranged with the resident/keeper—while the long-distance hiking context means you should come prepared for an austere stop and carry what you’ll need to be self-sufficient.
