Refuge de Plaisance
Refuge de Plaisance is a mountain hut in the Vanoise National Park area near Champagny-en-Vanoise, set at 2,170 m and reachable on foot. It has 32 sleeping places across its dormitory and service areas and is intended for backcountry overnights.
The refuge is guarded from 10 June to 13 September 2026. When staffed, it offers midday meals and half-board options, plus hot showers (paid) and drinking water; it also has a wood stove and radio-assisted rescue communications. A single water/bivouac option is offered on request, and the hut includes toilets and a place to spend the night in dormitory-style accommodation.
Access: start from the parking at Laisonnay d'en Bas (Champagny-en-Vanoise) and expect about 2 hours of walking with a 600 m ascent to reach the refuge; you can also do the hike and return the same day.
