Refuge de Sans - Biros

Refuge de Sans - Biros (Cabane de Sans) is a non-staffed, free mountain shelter in the Biros forest of the French Pyrenees. It’s an unguarded cabane-style stop for day hikers and trekkers who need basic cover, not a serviced refuge.

Use is first-come, first-served: there’s no advance booking. Expect a very basic setup—shelter without running water, electricity, or catering—so bring your own sleeping gear and plan to be self-sufficient.
