Refuge de Vallonbrun
Refuge de Vallonbrun is a backcountry alpine refuge in the Vanoise area. The refuge is an “ecoresponsable” accommodation, with services that vary depending on the period (guarded/hors gardiennage), and it has 27 sleeping places.
During the 2025 summer period, the refuge is scheduled to be guarded from 5 June (and opening in continuous operation from 13 June). The refuge is kept under guard for much of the season, and it mentions “hors gardiennage” and a setup including a wood stove, a radio beacon (“balise radio”), and a cooking area including a stove plus a “salle hors sac.”
