Refuge de Varzeron

Refuge de Varzeron is a small, unstaffed mountain hut in the Bisanne area near Les Saisies / Hauteluce, France. It’s set up for self-reliant overnights rather than staffed services, and it includes a wood stove plus simple furnishings such as a table and benches, with a sleeping mezzanine for night use.

Use is free and it isn’t operated as a reserved hut stay; plan on first-come, first-served access. Bring what you need for the night and expect basic conditions—there’s a wood stove, but no shower facilities are provided.
