Refuge des Cascades

Refuge des Cascades is a backcountry hut in Parc du Massif du Sud. It’s for exclusive use and is sized for 6 people, with a maximum of 8 when paying an extra-person fee.

Use is reserved online, and the regular price is $109 per night for exclusive use; there’s also a reduced price of $89. The hut includes a wood stove (wood included—one box) and a gas stove (propane tank included), plus a kitchen counter, table and chairs, and a mezzanine sleeping area. A dry toilet and water access are located nearby, while regular toilets and showers are at the visitor center.

Cascades is located on the Beaudoin trail (E), near the Cascades pools. In summer it’s accessible by car; it’s about 700 m from the visitor center. In winter it’s reached on foot only, with vehicles staying in the visitor center’s parking lot; a sled is provided to move luggage from the parking lot to the hut.
