Refuge des Vigourats
Refuge des Vigourats is a small, unmanaged mountain shelter on the GR10 in the French Pyrenees, tucked inside the disused Vigourats mine station building. Use it as a first-come stop on through-hikes; there’s no stove, but a fireplace and nearby wood are available in the shelter.
Space is tight: it’s limited to about 4 people. The refuge is simply closed by an iron door, and inside you’ll find a table/chairs and sleeping benches (“bat-flancs”). Water is not right at the shelter—fill from the GR10 side by following the trail back toward the track and down to a stream/ruisseau; if you’re coming from Batère you can also top up from a fountain on the route.
