Refuge du Creux de Lachat

Refuge du Creux de Lachat is a backcountry alpine refuge near Arith (altitude 1350 m) in the Bauges. It’s used for overnight stays and day meals, and reservations for the evening (meals + night) must be made by phone—there’s no internet access at the refuge for bookings.

The refuge sits on routes including the GR96 and the GRP Tour des Bauges. It is generally approached on foot from Arith (about 1h30), from Saint-François-de-Sales (about 2h00), or from Le Revard (about 3h00). The refuge is kept by a caretaker from 15 December to 15 March, with marked itineraries during opening.
