Refuge du lac de l'Appel
Refuge du lac de l'Appel is a Sentier Inter-Centre backcountry hut in the Laurentides, operated by Inter-Centre and used for overnight stays and day access. The hut is capacity-limited to eight (8) guests (eight single mattresses on stacked platforms). A slow-combustion stove is provided along with basic furnishings and tools (table, chairs, axe, broom, ice pick), but there is no running water or electricity; a dry toilet is located nearby. During the cold season, firewood is provided for use inside the refuge only.
Overnights require an official reservation. Rates are $25 per person per night on shared occupancy, or $125 per refuge per night for exclusive use. Day access is free between 10:00 and 15:00, even if the hut is booked. Drinking water must be treated or boiled at least three minutes before consumption; water quality is not guaranteed. Dogs are allowed on the trails but are prohibited inside the huts.
