Refuge du Lac du Marais

Refuge du Lac du Marais is a backcountry wilderness hut managed through Sépaq bookings, used as a multi-day hiking stopover. It’s a rustic shelter with a wood-heated setup and no indoor plumbing.

Use is for staying overnight on the long-distance Les Caps and Le Fjord style trekking routes; because the route is linear, plan for vehicle shuttling via Sépaq logistics. Outhouse-style sanitation is part of the rustic setup, and the hut has sleeping gear (mattress provided).

The hut is equipped with a place for a fire; however, there is no drinking water provided, so you’ll need to bring water treatment and plan for water along the approach. The hut description also indicates seating for about 8 people (“8 mattress”).
