Refuge du Lachat
Refuge du Lachat is a mountain refuge/chalet at 1555 m of altitude in the Crest Voland area, positioned mid-way between Crest Voland village and the Saisies ski area and set in the forest and alpine pastures with views toward Mont Blanc. It serves as a simple lodging stop and includes a restaurant and bar open midday and in the evening.
Access is available year-round by road. In winter, reach the refuge by skis (alpine and nordic) or with snowshoes, and it also fits into a cross-over of ski areas and snowshoe routes. In summer, it sits as the first step of the GR Tour du Beaufortain, and it’s also used by hikers, VTT riders, cyclotourists on the Route des Grandes Alpes, and riders.
The refuge has accommodation for up to 50 people, and it offers regional food. Use is set up as a reservation-based stay via the refuge’s own booking process.
