Refuge du Lanoux (Maison des Ingénieurs)

Refuge du Lanoux (Maison des Ingénieurs) is an open mountain shelter in the French Pyrenees used for backcountry overnights on a free-access, first-come basis. It’s a large stone building with a two-slope roof; the refuge entrance is on the east gable. The shelter has space for 12 people in bunk beds (with mattresses provided for most spots), with a small table and chairs in the interior; there’s no stove provided and no fireplace inside.
