Refuge du Lou

Refuge du lac du Lou (Refuge du Lou) is an alpine backcountry hut in the Vanoise area, set at about 2,035 m above the Belleville valley. It’s a summer refuge reached on foot from Les Menuires and used as a stage point for hikes around Lac du Lou and onward to other refuges.

The hut stays open from 16 June to 13 September, except for Mondays. Lodging is offered, and the refuge also provides meals; use a calm, early-summer-to-early-fall schedule and plan around the weekly Monday closure.
