Refuge du Rocher des Vierges

Refuge du Rocher des Vierges is a small, unmanaged free shelter used for overnight stops near the Rocher des Vierges. The shelter consists of two rooms: the first has a roof in good condition, while the second is in poor condition.

Inside, you should plan to sleep on the floor—there are no tables and no bedding provided. The shelter has a concrete floor, four sleeping platforms, a fireplace, and it has no chimney; practical on-site water storage is a rainwater tank behind the building under an iron trap (full in late autumn, less reliable in summer).

Use is straightforward: no booking or reservation is required, and you can access it on a first-come, first-served basis as an open shelter.
