Refuge du Suffet

Refuge du Suffet (Refuge-Gîte du Suffet) is a backcountry refuge in Vallon d'Ambin near the Vanoise National Park. It serves as a base for hikes, and it’s accessible by car in summer. The refuge offers 40 beds across rooms and dormitories.

Use is reservation-based. It’s open daily from May 1 to October 7, and all year round for booked groups. The refuge operates without WiFi and without phone reception, and it does not take credit cards; cash is used on site. A catering service is available in summer (full daily operation and lunch/beverage service only during the main peak period).
