Refuge Forestier ONF de la Fontaine de l'Isard

Refuge Forestier ONF de la Fontaine de l'Isard is a small, non-guarded backcountry hut in the French Pyrenees at 1,410 m. It’s set up for basic shelter use with a fireplace and a simple dining setup, and it sleeps up to 2 people on two stacked beds with mattresses and covers.

Inside you’ll find 2 tables, 1 bench, a fireplace, and 2 bunk beds with mattresses and covers. Outside there’s a table with benches, and the hut is near a water source within about 10 m, but you should still treat/prepare water before drinking.

The hut is open for use on a first-come, first-served basis, with no reservation process. It’s located about a dozen minutes to the west of the Refuge de La Chapelle de l'Isard, making it a practical alternate if that nearby refuge is busy.
