Alpine hut

Refuge la Faille is a rustic backcountry hut for overnight stays in Saint-Tite-des-Caps (Charlevoix, Quebec) on the Sentier des Caps de Charlevoix network. It sleeps 10 people and is rented as a unit (shared with other bookings and can have day visitors).

The hut is stocked with a wood stove, firewood, an axe, and newspaper; it also has a large cauldron and a picnic table. There is a dry toilet nearby, plus water points near most refuges—water at Refuge la Grande-Vue is the exception, so for Refuge la Faille you’ll still plan to treat any questionable water found on the trail.

Overnight use is managed through online reservation (not first-come). The current rate shown for Refuge la Faille (10 personnes) is $36.96 per night, with the price varying by number of people and including booking fees before taxes. For sleeping, you must bring your own mattress pad and sleeping bag (plus a full shelter kit like a stove and fuel, headlamp with spare battery, and a water filter or tablets). Outdoor fires are strictly prohibited at the refuge or campsite.

Book and organize your stay via the Sentier des Caps de Charlevoix booking system. Reservations require a 50% deposit by credit card, which is non-refundable if you cancel; if cancellation happens 3 days or less before the start, you must pay 100% of the total cost of the reserved nights.
