Refuge La Voie-Lactée

Refuge La Voie-Lactée is a backcountry hut in the Parc national du Mont-Mégantic area. It sleeps up to 4 people, or up to 8 when the full group books together, and it’s intended for overnight stays accessed by a longer hike/snowshoe approach. The hut has red interior lighting and electricity, and it includes a dry toilet; there are no nearby water sources, so you must pack all drinking and cooking water.

Access requires a 5 km hike or snowshoe trek from the Discovery and Visitors Centre in the Observatoire sector. Use is booked through Sépaq’s reservation system (online or by phone). Rates start at $33 CAD per person/night, with taxes extra; prices vary by dates and group size. Open fires at the summit are strictly prohibited at all times.
