Refuge Pelletier is a backcountry hut in Parc régional de la Forêt Ouareau (Massif sector). It sleeps up to 8 people, and the approach is on foot only: an intermediate, about 2 km hike from the reception area. Use is limited by time: it’s accessible to hikers from 9:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. as a common stop to warm up and have a snack.

Inside, there’s a dry toilet (toilet paper is not included), a wood stove with firewood, a table with chairs, and wooden bed bases with 8 mattresses available. The hut is an unlocked refuge, and you must reserve in advance. The nightly rate is $143.50, with a 20% discount typically applied on weekdays. Bring drinking water, a sleeping bag, and toilet paper; dogs are not permitted.

It’s accessed by foot, snowshoe, or ski, and it’s used across both summer and winter activities in the regional park network (including hiking and cross-country skiing among others). The reservation/refund rules are part of the park’s booking terms, and staying at the refuge requires a printed copy of the first page of your invoice before your visit.
