Refuge Petite-Ourse is a backcountry wilderness hut operated by SEPAQ in Parc national du Mont-Mégantic (Observatoire sector). It has a wood stove and a basic kitchen setup, with outhouses for toilets; showers are available at the hikers’ pavilion at the park entrance. The hut is reservable and is built for small groups: capacity is 4 beds, and it can sleep up to 8 when booked by a single group.

Booking is done by phone through SEPAQ’s customer service, and you’ll arrange availability and payment via the reservation centre. National park entry fees are not included in the hut rental price and must be paid on arrival. You should plan to bring potable water, your cooking supplies, and items for personal light/illumination; the hut experience is intended for multi-day backcountry travel rather than day use.
