Refuge Pla de Tabe
Refuge Pla de Tabe is an unstaffed backcountry cabin in the Sabarthès area of the French Pyrenees. The building is split into two compartments: the left side has a small table, two chairs, and a double bed with a mattress, plus a fireplace; the right side is sometimes closed/used by hunters, but may be left open with a table, benches, and bedding.
With a capacity of 2, it’s a simple, compact shelter for self-supported nights. There is a fireplace and wood can be available nearby (not guaranteed), and there’s also a water point near the cabin on the pastoral track, though it may be closed in winter. Plan on bringing your own food and sleeping setup; there’s no stove.
