Refuge Toussaint

Refuge Toussaint is a backcountry hut in Parc régional de la Forêt Ouareau. It sleeps up to 8 people, with 8 mattresses inside. Access is on foot, snowshoe, or cross-country skis only.

The refuge is reservable and pet-friendly (dogs allowed). Expect a dry toilet and a wood stove with included firewood, plus a table and chairs and an outdoor picnic table with a firepit. Toilet paper isn’t provided and there’s no running water—bring what you need for drinking water and basic sanitation.

Plan your approach as a hike: in summer it’s about 3.5 km from the Pont-Suspendu Sector, while in winter it’s about 7 km from that same sector (and about 7.4 km from the Massif Sector). Book through the park’s reservation system or by phone/toll-free if you need help.
