Refugio Agostino Rocca
Refugio Agostino Rocca is a backcountry alpine hut operated by Club Andino Bariloche, set on the east slope of Cerro Tronador in the Paso de las Nubes area at about 1,432 m. The hut was built by the Club Andino Bariloche and inaugurated on 28 April 2012; it’s equipped with guest and refugio cooking facilities and is designed to host up to 80 people across 10 shared rooms.
Access is typically from Pampa Linda: the one-way hike is about 14.3 km with a low-to-moderate difficulty and a walking time of roughly 4 to 6 hours (seasonal scheduling applies). For staying overnight, prior reservation is required. The hut states that it is closed until the next spring, and from May to November only a small winter shelter space remains available for emergency need; camping in the refuge area is not permitted in the national park.
