Sirius

Sirius is a Sépaq backcountry hut/wilderness shelter in Parc national du Mont-Mégantic, in the Grande-Ourse area. In winter it’s used as a rustic prospector-tent style campsite, part of a small cluster of similar star-named accommodations.

For stays in winter, plan to bring your own bedding/sleeping bag and cooking gear, since it’s a rustic, uninsulated shelter. A Sépaq Daily Pass is required to access the park’s trail network and campsites.

Winter stays have a starting price of $65 (and bookings are made through the Sépaq online booking portal). The park also offers an optional baggage-transport service to the huts in winter; it must be booked in advance by phone and costs $16 per 20 kg (45 lbs) bag.
