Soplat des Nants

Soplat des Nants is a communal alpine refuge (1425 m) in the Massif du Beaufortain, above Tours-en-Savoie. It’s unstaffed: expect to rely on a key/lock-box system coordinated through the town hall rather than on day-to-day staff service.

To sleep here, you need to arrange key access in advance with Tours-en-Savoie town hall (contact the mairie at +33 4 79 31 00 73 for a code to retrieve the keys). The refuge provides dormitory-style sleeping on mattresses and blankets on site, plus a place to cook and eat with a stove/wood heating; bring your own sleeping bag/duvet and pad. The shared interior setup includes a couple of living spaces with tables and benches, plus dry toilets outside.
