Tarn Hut

Tarn Hut is a basic, four-bunk backcountry hut run by the Department of Conservation, located in the Puketeraki Forest Conservation Area in the Canterbury region, in the North Canterbury and Arthur’s Pass area. It sits next to a small tarn in open alpine grassland and is intended for first-come, first-served use (no bookings required).
