Top Hut is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut in Oteake Conservation Park (Otago region), offering 8 bunks for overnight stays. Use is first come, first served—no standard bookings are required—and visitors are expected to buy a Standard Hut Ticket for each night, using the hut’s honesty box (or alternatively use a Backcountry Hut Pass for unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts over a 12-month period).

The hut has heating, plus mattresses and a fireplace. Facilities include toilets with pit latrine disposal, and the primary water source is a river. Access is via the Western Manuherikia 4WD Track, which includes numerous river crossings; no fuel is supplied, so plan accordingly.
