Yeager's Cabin
Yeager's Cabin is a primitive wilderness cabin in the White Mountains National Recreation Area, run by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management. It’s equipped with bunk beds and a propane cook stove, plus a wood stove and lantern; there’s also a table and benches, and an outhouse. The cabin has a max stay of 3 consecutive nights and can accommodate up to 8 people (with pets allowed).
Use is by reservation and there is a $42/night charge; campfires are allowed. The cabin has no running water or electricity and no cell coverage. Summer access is from the Wickersham Dome Trailhead via the Summit Trail, while winter access is from the Wickersham Creek Trail; it’s described as difficult to reach on foot in summer due to boggy terrain, and it isn’t accessible to ATVs in summer (May 1–October 14).
