Salamander Wall
Salamander Wall is a compact crag in the Mt MacDonald climbing area on Vancouver Island, with four documented routes: one trad line and three sport climbs. The wall sits at approximately 230 m elevation.
The route selection includes Sexagenarian at 5.8, Two Salamanders Dreaming at 5.10d, and World's Toughest Salamander, a 5.10b sport climb. World's Toughest Salamander is about 18 m long, protected by bolts, and climbs fairly sustained 5.9 terrain to a thoughtful crux between the final bolts. Inspect the committed features and confirm current conditions before climbing, particularly after wet weather.
