School Yard

School Yard is a beginner-friendly lead-climbing sector at Mt. Wells–South Cliffs near Victoria, focused mainly on sport climbing in the 5.6–5.10+ range. The sector includes several short routes, with both slab climbing and easier introductory lines.

Drama is a 5.6 sport route of about 30 ft (9 m), following slabby ledges beside a prominent hole in the cliff. It is protected by approximately six bolts and finishes at anchors equipped with rappel rings. The lower moves are the stiffest; the climbing becomes easier above the hole. Inspect the rock and fixed features before committing, particularly after wet weather.
