Back Ridge Hut
Back Ridge Hut is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut in Kaweka Forest Park (Hawke’s Bay), set as a practical stopover for accessing the central and western parts of the park. It’s a 4-bunk hut built in 1957, with an enclosed wood-burning stove, a meat safe, and a creek nearby for stream water supply; the hut site is in a sheltered gully about 300 m from the main Back Ridge Track.
