Bear Claw Yurt is an 8-person backcountry yurt in Utah’s Uinta Mountains, managed by the Bear River Outdoor Recreation Alliance. It’s accessed on foot (yurt-linked ski/snowshoe routes in winter) and is intended as a reservable wilderness hut stay with a heating stove and basic kitchen setup inside.

Approach-wise, it’s described as about 2 miles up Sage Draw from the trailhead. Once you’re there, the yurt provides sleeping for up to 8 people plus a large heating stove and a gas cook stove setup (including fuel), along with a gas lantern and cookware and utensils.

Reservations are required. The operator notes that stays can be hard to secure and that work-party participation can help qualify for earlier access; plan around work-party scheduling if you’re aiming for peak dates.
