Ridge Yurt

Ridge Yurt is a backcountry yurt operated by Bear River Outdoor Recreation Alliance in Utah’s High Uintas. It sleeps up to 8 people in a sheltered bowl just below the ridgeline, and it’s a reservation yurt with nightly use fees.

Inside, Ridge Yurt has bunk beds and a wood-burning stove; firewood is stocked, and kitchen utensils and cookware are provided. Fireplaces are provided via the stove, and an outhouse sits about 20 feet from the yurt; it’s a pack-in, pack-out stay.

Access is a 4.5-mile approach gaining about 934 ft from the winter trailhead near Bear River Lodge (Mirror Lake Highway). In winter, approach is by ski, snowshoe, or snowmobile, and dogs and snowmachines are permitted.

Reservations open in late April for summer, and winter/spring reservations open on the last Monday of October. Bookings require a $20 BRORA membership plus a nightly yurt fee.
