Belltown Manunui Hut

Belltown Manunui Hut is a Department of Conservation backcountry hut in Kahurangi National Park (Buller area). It’s a standard 10-bunk hut and use is first come, first served—no bookings are required, but a hut ticket must be placed in the honesty box for each night of stay.

The hut provides drinking water that’s not treated, plus mattresses, a fireplace, and toilets with pit latrine disposal. Fees apply; from 30 June 2026, it’s $10 per night for adults (18+), $5 per night for youth (5–17), and free for children/infants (0–4). Tracks to the hut are listed as a 4–6 day one-way approach, rated Advanced/Expert.
