Blast-4-Me Crag
Blast-4-Me Crag is a small roadside climbing area in Squamish’s Longhouse/Gondola area, at 656 m. The northwest-facing granite crag currently has two documented climbs, with potential for additional lines up to 30 m. Its left side gets afternoon sun, while Master Blaster stays shaded throughout the day.
Access is via Shannon Creek Forest Service Road, about 200 m beyond the yellow locked Gondola access gate. From Highway 99, the approach follows Mamquam FSR for 3.9 km, then Stawamus/Indian River FSR 4823 and Shannon Creek FSR. The Shannon Creek road is steep, periodically graded, and has sections where high clearance is useful. Parking is at a widening opposite the crag near the yellow “S2S 9 Down” sign; keep the road clear. From the gondola, the walk down the road is about 1.2 km, taking roughly 15 minutes.
The two established routes are 9 Down, 5 Across, a 5.12a sport climb of 20 m, and Master Blaster, an 11c 20 m trad route. Master Blaster has a dusty lower section and some bolts; protection requires small wires and cams through 3 inches.
